3월 9일 토요일, 삼성당에서 1분기 합동수련과 승단자 7명에 대한 단증 수여식이 개최되었습니다.
올해의 첫 합동수련은 예년과 다름 없이 즐거운 분위기에서 치러졌습니다. 소속 도장은 다르지만, 아이키도를 매개로 모여 땀흘린다는 목표는 같습니다.
앞으로도 아이키도를 함께 즐길 사람이 한 사람이라도 더 많아지길 기대합니다.
합동수련 후에는 승단 심사 합격자에 대한 단증 수여식을 진행했습니다.
Korea Aikido Union* 소속 회원에 대한 승단 심사는 아이키카이(合気会) 본부의 검토와 승인에 따라 2023년 12월 9일에 치러졌습니다. 심사 결과 2명의 2단과 5명의 초단이 배출되었습니다.
* 그간 본부와의 소통 과정에서 복수의 도장에 대해서 원활한 행정 처리를 위하여 그룹으로 묶어달라는 요청을 받았고, 이에 Korea Aikido Union이라 그룹명을 정했습니다. 소속 도장인 삼성당과 안산도장, 각 도장장과 회원은 직책은 있으나 기본적으로 수평 관계입니다.
본부로부터 수령한 단증과 국제유단자증을 합격자에게 전달하였습니다. 각 증서는 전달 후 상자에 고이 넣어 귀가 중에 훼손되지 않도록 하였습니다.
심사장의 이름이 한자로 표기되어 있는 것에는 개인적으로 놀랐습니다. 응시원서에는 영문 성명을 적어 제출했기 때문에, 전혀 예상하지 못했습니다. 일부러 명단을 뒤졌을 본부 담당자의 배려에 감사드립니다.
마지막으로, 이번 승단에 있어 격려와 조언, 도움을 주신 모든 분께 감사의 말씀을 전합니다.

On Saturday, March 9th, a joint training session for the first quarter and a ceremony for awarding Dan ranks to seven practitioners were held at Aikido Samsungdang.
The first joint training of the year was held in a joyful atmosphere as in previous years. Despite being from different dojos, the goal of gathering through Aikido to sweat together remains the same.
We hope that more people will join us in enjoying Aikido together in the future.
The examination for Dan ranks for members of the Korea Aikido Union was conducted on December 9th, 2023, following the review and approval of Aikikai Headquarters. The results of the examination yielded two practitioners achieving the 2nd Dan rank and five achieving the Shodan rank.
The awarded Dan certificates and international yudansha cards from the headquarters were handed over to the successful candidates. Each certificate was carefully placed in a box to prevent damage during transportation to their home.
I personally was surprised to see that the name of the examiner was written in Chinese characters. As the person responsible for submitting the application forms with English names, I did not anticipate this. I am grateful for the consideration of the headquarters staff who deliberately checked the list.
