September 2025 Monthly Seminar – Summary Edition: “Nikyo (二教)”



Today’s video prepared by Aikido Samsungdang is a summary edition of the September 2025 Monthly Seminar.

The theme of this seminar was Nikyo (二教).This video focuses mainly on Part 1, “Understanding Nikyo,” and briefly includes selected content from Part 2, “Kata Analysis and Practice.”

The summary covers approximately 50% of the full seminar, and the main topics include:

• Understanding the Nikyo grip: control of the thumb and middle finger, and management of the radius bone

• Finishing Nikyo: immobilization or joint control — the concept of three-point fixation

• Explanation of Katatori Nikyo (肩取り二教): suwari-waza and tachi-waza
